c-media Ac97 audio device

I have ac97 audio now on my computer, I try to updade to c-media ac97 but it
doesn't work, no sound, I check in device mngr and it show a code 10. any
suggestions please, Thankyou

To my knowledge, AC'97 is a common sound chip by Realtek. Unless C-Media is
closely related to Realtek, I would think that their products are different.

I did a Google search, and found that apparently AC'97 represents some
interface or driver model as well.

But something like this
http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/cmedia-9738.html won't work with
Realtek. Check your system:
Control Panel | Sounds_and_Audio_Devices | Hardware (or Audio)
and see whether C-Media or Realtek is listed.

If Realtek, remove this C-Media driver.
