Bypass Classic Logon Prompt

Is there any way to bypass the classic logon prompt. I
only have one user account (me as administrator)with no
password. I have turned off the Welcome Screen. Can I
set up Windows XP so it just goes directly to the desktop
when I turn it on?

Dianne,

Configure Autologin:
XP can be configured to start without entering a user
name or password. Select Run... from the start menu and type 'control
userpasswords2', to open the user accounts application. On the Users tab,
clear the box for Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This
Computer, and click on OK. An Automatically Log On dialog box will appear;
enter the user name and password for the account you want to use.

Goto Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2"
Then under the users tab, uncheck Users must enter a username/pass to use
this computer"
Then press ok and Enter your username/password

Or

Alternatively, you can use TweakUI for Windows XP to do this.
See the Logon/Auto-Logon Section
