Buzzing noise when capturing analogue video

I am capturing VHS analogue video from a VCR via a Miglia Directors Cut SCARt
converter into Windows MM. But when I replay the video I get a constant
buzzing noise over the other audio sounds. This does not happen when I
capture from my digital camcorder but does happen when I try the same process
with Pinnacle software. Any ideas how i can elimiante this buzzzzzzz?

check all connections are tight and correct, and that no leads are getting
interference from other electrical items, such as power leads, monitor, the
pc itself etc.
