This may ne a stupid question but if I buy either of the
above versions in Switzerland is the software prest in
German /Swiss or can I set it to English when is start
installing. Is this the same as for the upgrade versions.

Windows XP is offered in several language versions. You'll have
to purchase Windows XP in the specific language version you desire
since one cannot change from one language version to another.

Also note that one cannot upgrade from one language version to another
language version.

Perhaps useful... I always buy my hardware at Steg Computers (www.stegcomputer.ch), they actually have a couple of shops around the country and their online shop works perfect (price is a bit high compared to Germany but hey, its Switzerland).
