But, the firewall is disabled

My laptop with XP Pro Will not ping itself. It will ping
others on the network. Other computers cannot ping it. It
is acting like the firewall is enable, but it is not.
PLEASE HELP
 
My issue was not the XP firewall (disabled), but Norton
Internet Security firewall.

There is another check to take off in the same area as
the firewall one , but i cant remember right off hand
which one you can try, take a couple others off cant hurt.
I am not in front of an XP right now or i could tell you.
