I don't know why i expected Office 2007 beta to integrate with BCM (or the
other way around...?) - i just overwrote Office11 with the new beta, and BCM
fails to work or reinstall - am i expecting too much? is there a way to make
BCM run?

thanks,

Glen,

well BCM version 1 and 2 are built for Outlook 2003 only. So it will not
work with Office 2007. There'll be a new BCM version 3 in future working
with Outlook 2003.

Will BCM version 3 be released at the same time as Office 2007?

Is there a Beta and if so how can I sign up?

Will BCM version 3 be radically different than prior versions?

Hi

BCM V3 will be released along with Office 12 and yes there is Beta but i
think your too late to sign in for the program :( .As far as improvments in
v3 is considered cutomization of forms ,synchronization with Windows Mobile
is being consider actively.I am sorry that would be all that i can disclose
at the moment

BCM v 3 will only work with Outlook 2007. There will probably be
another service pack for v2, but I wouldn't expect anything radical in
that.

Raul, can you tell us if MS is considering syncing the basic data in Outlook
contacts so that you could see your critical data using OWA?

I hope the public Beta of Office 2007 is available soon.

Otherwise I may have to decide between ACT!, GoldMine, Maximizer,
SugarCRM, and I really think Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager may
be a better fit for me.

It will be too late for me if I implement one of these other offerings
just because I can't learn more about Outlook 2007 Business Contact
Manager. None of the other products are a perfect fit for me.

There is no sync with Outlook Contacts in the betas I've seen, nor
would I expet them to add such a feature. The story remains that with
BCM installed Outlook Contacts is intended for friends and family. No
word on where to put Vendors or Employees though, or how to sync with
mobile 5.

BTW, I got an email from msoft saying that the beta is no longer under
NDA--feel free to blog about it.

OK - I think the BETA was yet another massive let down. There are only two
features that make or break this product and they are BROKEN!

Sync with WM5
Access through OWA

Nuff said.
