Burning to DVD

I made my first movie last night. I went to burn it to
DVD on my Sony Burner and it says something about invalid
format or file extension? It also says it need to be in
NTSC or PAL format. Do I need to convert it somewhere
next from .WMA format?

Sorry I did a little more researching on it and it
appears I need third party software.
