creating movie onto DVD with good quality

I want to create a movie from windows movie maker and burn it onto a DVD.
There are allot of options from which to chose from when trying to save a
movie that i have made eg Video for loca Playback (2.1 MBPS NTSC) etc. I have
not been able to find which of these formats i must save the movie in - prior
to burning it to a DVD. Also, windows movie maker seems to save only in .wma
format. Is it ok to let Nero do the conversion when i try to burn the movie
file - or do i need another program for this? What type of format do i
actually need to create when i am setting up a new Nero Movie project ie SVCD
or VCD or something else? So far, everytime i have tried to convert the file
from wma - the quality becomes really grainy and bad.

Any help will be appreciated.

I can't help with your question, but I am looking for guidance on how to save
a movie in dvd format as opposed to cd format. I have an internal dvd
writable drive in my laptop, but there is no option so save as a dvd and the
cd that I created does not play in a dvd player.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

============
To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...
