Burning Problems

Hi all

I am having a major problem with my burner. It will easily read a CD in the
CD-RW drive, but will not recognize that there is a blank cd in the drive to
burn. I have tried Media Player, Nero, Itunes, and Windows itself. Nothing.

A while ago I got some viruses which I forget the names now because I also
formatted my HD. Does anyone know if viruses can remove files that are
necessary for any type of burning? I can't figure this one out. Help :)

If you formated your HD then you will not have any viri let on it.... unless
you downloaded othere since. Run your anti virus software.

Try changing the media you use to a different make - still got the same
problem ?

Disable the IMAPI Burning ROM process in the Managment options (right click
on My Computer > Manage > Services & Applications > Services > look for a
process called IMAPI Burning etc and disable it.

Repost if problem is ongoing.

HI Jen,
It is frustrating. I could burn cds a while ago. NOw, my computer does the
usual things, and all looks fine, cd is burned successfully. But when I need
to listen to the burned cd, there is no sound. However there is data on the
cd. I've wasted some cds and have had to erase cdrw's many times. I need
help.
I am a dance teacher and need the music for choreography.

Seems like I am not the only one having trouble! Please can anyone help. I
have burned a few MP3 and audio discs, but now I have tried to make a disc, I
am being told "Disc burner or software not found" on iTunes, and "No CD or
DVD burner has been detected".

Can anyone shed some light on this? I haven't done anything different on my
machine, so how could this have happened?

Thanks in advance, people!

Mike
