Burning DVD's

I save my movie in Windows Movie Maker using the "save a
movie to your computer option" since "save it to DVD" is
not an option. This saves it as a .wmv file (windows
media video) Now when I use Sonic MyDVD to burn it to
disc, when I try to get the movie from my hard drive, I
get a message "MyDVD does not support this file type.
How do I save the video as a file MyDVD will support
(mpeg, avi, etc.)

MM2 can also save to a DV-AVI file for use in MyDVD or other DVD software.
It's one of the options in the picklist of others.

MyDVD version 4 or higher can use the WMV files. If you have that version or
more, and it doesn't appear to be in the listed formats, try it anyway
(change the list of files to include all files) or drag and drop the file to
it, and it should work.

.... new message ....

I figured out how to make it an AVI file (i have to do it
when i import it). Now, after I edit and want to save
the final video, I dont have enough room on my hard drive
because the captured video is 12.6 GB!!!! Any
suggestions short of upgrading by hard drive (now 60 GB).

You have 2 basic choices before buying another hard drive:

1 - Manage the free space so you can use the DV-AVI format for the DVD
creation process.
2 - Use DVD authoring/burning software that can use the WMV files as
inputs - MyDVD version 4 and higher does it.
