Burning DVD's Using WMM and Nero

Hooray! After reading many threads and seeing several useful tips, I now
know you CAN burn a Windows Movie Maker slideshow using Nero Ultra Edition 6.
Save your slideshow in WMM as DV-AVI file. Then open Nero, click on make
DVD Video, click on add file, call up your DV-AVI file, make your opening
page with great graphics provided by Nero & burn. Nero does all the
conversions with one click. Awesome and easy.

I am using NERO and I have two projects that are saved on my computer as AVI
files and want to burn them onto a DVD to be able to be read in my DVD to
show on the television. When I tried to burn them, it didn't work.

I clicked on make DVD Video and when I tried to add my AVI file, it told me
that the file was uncompatable. Am I missing something?

Nero 6 itself doesnt make DVD Video. it only burns DVD Video if you already
have produced VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders using an authoring software.

However it comes with an program called Nero Vision Express 2 or 3 which is
the DVD authoring software and can accept WMV or DV AVI files as source. it
then allows you to make chpaters and menus and then burn the DVD.

All I know is, after I save my video slide show in WMM as a DV-AVI file, then
open Nero and click on "Make DVD Video", then add file, it converts my file
to a readable dvd file. I am using Nero Ultra Edition 6. Perhaps you are
talking about basic Nero.

well as Nero 6?
