Burning CD

I get a error message when trying to copy files to a CD. The message states,
"Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file." I have 3
options to Retry, Skip, or Cancel, none of which results in the copy
completion. What could be preventing the copy?

Well if it were the media (blank disk) at fault you would get a specific
error message, likewise if it were the burner.
It could just be your PC is "overloaded".
Try closing all other apps, specially those in system tray.

Are you really trying to "copy"?

I have the same problem. It curiously occured since yesterday. There seems to
be no obvious reason... (no new software, no recent updates whatsoever...)

I hate to mention the obvious, but did you try another CD?

Yes, tried that. No different result. In addition I tried to uninstall and
re-install my CD-writer. I checked what the "troubleshooter" mentions on this
issue (--> nothing). There is no error-number or so that helps to know if
this problem can be resolved by a patch or so... I'm pretty puzzled...
