Burning an ISO file to disk in Vista

How does one burn an ISO file image to disk using the tools included with
Vista?

I can burn the file but it is just a data disk. Windows help eas not and
neither was
the MS support site.

Apparently there is no way to do this.

: Nero 7(purchase required) or Iso Recorder(free) are acceptable routes. I've used both.
: IsoRecorder for Vista is a power toy(i.e. its a shell extension; right click file to activate the menu)
: Note: It does not support images of audio or video cd's like Nero 7.

Easy CD Creator(Roxio a division of the parent Sonic Solutions) also provides similar software for purchase(can't vouch for it in Vista and creating iso images, others may have an opinion)

As others have pointed out... you can't use Vista's native tools to burn ISO
image files to disc. I use DeepBurner Free, which works just fine.
www.deepburner.com.

Not Me

I bought a DVD-RW for $39 at Wally World.
It came with NERO, which seems to work just fine for CD images.

Thanks to all who answered.

What is so frustrating is that the ISO file I want to burn
is from Microsoft itself.

Roxio is about 50% the cost of the upgrade version
of Vista that I have on this computer.

Deepburn is priced better.

I think most of the recommended programs are free, just select the one
you like the best or.... download all of 'em, Google for more, find the
one that suits your taste best!

That's the really nice thing about free software, you can try it,
remove it and try something else. If you buy something you're pretty
much stuck with it!

I have not had to burn an ISO in Vista yet, but I was using a small
fee app called BurnCDCC with much success under XP.
