Burning a cd

Hey was wondering if anyone knew the solution to this: my meid player says
"The CD-R drive is in use." It doesnt matter wether i use media players burn
option or if i use Nero, Sonicstage, ipod tunes i simply cant get the burn
application to function. I have microsoft xp professional and would kindly
appreciate any help available.

Empty the CD-Rom drive and reboot. Now it will work.

Ok so could you perhaps give me a step by step guide as in how to reboot my
CD-ROm as i dont want to lose all my current information many thanks

I keep gitting the message.. insert a cd, or cancel (e-mail address removed)
can you help me I can get the music but not the txst on the t.v. thanks

You do not reboot your CD-Rom, you reboot your PC with the CD-Rom empty.
You cannot lose any information when you reboot. If you use a CD-R or a
CD-RW, the information on them, if any, is safe.
