Burn DVD+RW Disks Query

I understand that the +RW type of DVDs seem to allow selective addition and
deletion of files, similar to a Hard Drive, or a floppy disk.
But I cannot find any information or tutorial online that discusses the
method, or software required to achieve this functionality.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
TIA

To use an RW DVD, either -RW or +RW, as a giant floppy, you need 3rd party
packet writing software which is a component of suites such as from Nero or
Roxio. RW disks can also be used as R disks, DVD-R, DVD+R by using
mastering software, which comes in the same suites.
