Bullets

I would like to add bullets to a document and override the default. I would
like to
1. change the symbol
2. insert the bullets anywhere in the text (rather than only at the left
margin)
3. Eliminate the default one or two spaces between a bullet and the next
character.
Thank you,
Dick

Choose a built-in bulleted paragraph style such as 'List Bullet' . Modify
the paragraph style to set any bullet you wish - see also
http://www.gmayor.com/Text_as_bullet.htm. Before leaving the modification
dialog, check the 'add to template' check box. Save normal.dot when promoted
on exit from Word.
2. insert the bullets anywhere in the text (rather than only at the
left margin)

A bullet inserted anywhere in the text is a symbol - Insert > symbol.
3. Eliminate the default one or two spaces between a bullet and the
next character.

This is back to the paragraph style - you can set the spacing as part of the
paragraph format.
Thank you,
Dick

You are welcome
