I have not been able to indent the second or third lines of a bullet to line
up with the top line's indent. I want this cleaner look for my presentation.
Any suggestions?

I have found if you format things in word then copy+paste into PowerPoint
you can overcome the PowerPoint shortfalls in formatting.

.... but if you hold down Ctrl as you drag the 2nd or 3rd line's recrangular
indent marker they'll line up like a dream!

Suppose you want a layout like this:

Line 1 wrapped
so it lines up left
without bullets
- followed by
a bulleted list
that lines up indented
- and more bullets

You will find that the first line where you removed the bullet will indent
itself if it is wrapped to more than one line so you get:

Line 1 wrapped
so it lines up left
without bullets
- followed by
a bulleted list
that lines up indented
- and more bullets

At least that's what happens to me in PowerPoint2000. But id I do it in
Word and paste it lines up OK.

If you've found a way round your problem, that's OK; but if you use
PowerPoint regularly wouldn't you prefer to be able to make it do what you
want it to do ... rather than 'faffing about' copying and pasting from Word?

The layout you want can be achieved but I think you need a bit more
understanding of how the indents work in Powerpoint. I'd be happy to go
through it with you if you're interested ... but, sorry, I haven't time to
start explaining it now. Post a message if you're interested.

PS I won't be back on-line until this evening.

Make sure you use the slide layout for bullets the program
provides--everything will automatically line everything up properly. A lot
of people where I'm at just add a text box instead, which doesn't pick up the
template's formatting. For that, turn on the ruler and drag the indent
marker to the right place.
