I just recently built my computer. I go into BIOS, everything checks out
OK, so i put in the OS. When the blue screen appears, it starts uploading
everything as usual, but before the actauly setup of downloading the XP, a
error screen pops up.
The error screen is this:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. if this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives
or hard drive controllers. check your hard drive to make sure it is properly
configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK / F to check for hard drive corruption,
and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
*** Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF7C7A524, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

Any ideas how to fix this?

Usuallym check for bad memory.

Also, if the hard drive is not connected to the standard IDE ports, you may
have to do <F6> during the setup in order to add the special drive to XP
install process.

Please use correct terminology. If you were really installing WinXP,
then i SERIOUSLY doubt you "uploading" or "downloading" anything. You
may have been copying files from the CD, but that is not the same
thing!
