Build Option is Grayed Out

Hello:

I am working on a small Access 2007 .adp that will do record keeping for a
small organic farm.

I have a form that has 2 fields on it; length and width. I want to put a
field on the form that displays a calculation of of the length field * the
width field.

When I create my text box, I right click on it and my build option is grayed
out. I have tried this in both a regular Access DB and the adp.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

In your unbound text box, just type in the following:

=[Field1]*[Field2]

Thanks Bill:

I tried that and it's giving me a wrong result. 4 * 12 is giving me a sum
of 135096

It's just odd that my Expression Builder is grayed out no matter where or
how I try to use it.

I did a repair but that didn't work. Gonna try a reinstall next
