Bug in Outlook 2007 Beta 2 - RSS feeds disappear after crash

Hi,

For one reason or another my PC shut down abruptly while I had Outlook 2007
open. When it restarted, I found I had lost all my RSS feeds (the folders
were still there but the feeds weren't listed in the accounts section and
weren't getting updated).

This also exposed an annoying bug related to importing OPML files or adding
new feeds. Instead of just putting the feeds back in the old folder, it
created a new folder called ... (1). There is no circumstance under which
this is sensible behaviour. If you already have the feed you don't want it
readding, and if you don't have the feed but do have the folder, it's pretty
clear that's where you want it putting.

RSS is still rather buggy in Beta 2, so I am not surprised about your
problem.

You should have deleted the folders prior to importing the OPML.

Same thing happened to me. Got one of those "Outlook has encountered an error
and must restart..." messages and after restart, all my feeds are gone. Not
the existing content or folders, but the actual feeds themselves so no new
updates.
