RSS Feeds Disappear in Outlook 2007

RSS feeds rutinely disappear from the RSS Feeds list in Outlook (as accessed
through Accoutns->RSS Feeds tab). I gather this is probably the root of a
lot of RSS feeds questions here, but people just need to check. This is
clearly a bug. There is a hotfix (kb 950282), but it is already installed on
my machine and the problem still persists, so clearly it didn't fix what it
was supposed to, or was maybe negated by a subsequent fix / update. The
feeds are still in the Master Feed List (or whatever it's called - the IE
list).

Either way, this is quite a serious issue that renders the Outlook
aggregator useless, and needs to be addressed. This is a Vista x64 / Office
2007 installation.

This issue is pretty widespread - it's all over Google, for example.

Any thoughts?

I am having the same problem. The feeds work for a day or two and then
disappear. I add them back by importing the common feed list and in a day or
two they are gone again.

It would be really nice if someone from microsoft would address this problem
and at least let us know they are/are not aware of this problem and if they
are/are not working to fix it.

What I've had to do is resort to backing up the file that stores the feed
information that Outlook directly uses. I'd rather MS fix this, but I find it
hard to believe they haven't run across this enough to see the importance of
fixing it.

It's in the default folder (through File-> Data File Management, by
selecting the proper data file and clicking on Open Folder) with the
Outlook.pst file.
It's called <username>'s Profile.sharing.xml.obi.

When my feeds go, I open the default folder again and copy the backup over
the bad feed list. When I do this, I notice that the file I'm replacing is
much smaller than what my backup is. It appears the feeds are being wiped out
of the file, and I'm left with a feed list with no entries in it. The feed
data file is still there, apparently there's just nothing in it.

At least this way you don't have to worry about dealing with a pile of
folders with (2) after them because you create a second set of feed folders
with the same names when re-importing the feed list.

My feeds don't change often so....

I too am experiencing this.

I send each RSS feed into its own folder under Personal Folders. So far,
I've been able to fix the problem by clicking on each folder. The folders
open and the messages already there display. When I go back to Tools, Account
Settings, RSS Feeds, the feeds have reappeared.
