Recenty I've install norton internet security and now since i can't run alot
of programs or download multiple files, and i have to close programs in the
bar in the bottom right hand bar to run other programs. Is there any way i
can fix this without with removing my anti virus? Please Help

What messages are you receiving? Norton isn't a very friendly program
especially with Windows Vista, but your description of problems doesn't seem
to indicate that Norton is the problem.

Why can't you run a lot of programs? What happens after you have 8 programs
open? 9 open? 'n' open? Where do things go bad? You should be able to close
programs exactly the way one always would. Click on the Close icon at the
upper right.

Download multiple files? Are these attachments to e-mail message?

It doesn't show any messages, but when i have about 8 to 10 things running
and i try to open anything else the program just won't open, or if i right
click on an icon for a program nothing happens or shows up, or if i try to
open any media player such as quicktime, media player classic, or nero
showtime, the program won't open or will close as soon as they open

Hi AngelM,

Symantec's software is less than ideal for a home user. It bogs a system
down so much that you wind up with a machine that secure because you are
unable to use it any longer. Remove it, return it, and find another program
that has a significantly lighter footprint such as AVG, Avast, or NOD32 -
all of which work well with Vista.

You should get rid of Norton and find something that's light on the
resources, like NOD32 or AVG.
