Bue Screen error on IE startup

Cannot start IE 6 after using Spybot S&D to remove
adware/spyware. OS = Win ME. Have repaired winsock and
used repair IE in Add/Remove programs. Cable modem
connection to internet is working. Can update programs
that do not use IE interface and can use AOL to browse
the web.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA
