Btrieve 6.1 to Access 2002 or 2003

We are finally retiring and old database in Btrieve 6.1 for Netware 3.12,
but only a small portion of the existing data will be converted to the new
system. We still need access to the old data for reporting. Due to the
extremely poor reporting capabilities of the old system, the expense of
maintaining a legacy system, and the need to produce reports which combine
data from both systems, we would like to convert the old data to a more
accessible form, preferably in Access 2002 or 2003.

Any advice? Hints?

Thanks,
Tim C

You need to convert it to a format Access can read.
dBase, Fox, Ascii, Excel, Lotus, etc.

Can you export the data to one of these formats?

As a possible alternative,
I vaguely recall Access 2.0 may have had the ability to directly read
certain Btrieve files.

Hi Tim,

I've no experience of this, but it might be worth taking a look at the
Btrieve Activex control at http://www.classicsoftware.com/ .
