BSOD Error Code

I am currently trying to install Windows XP onto my laptop, which has Windows
Vista built into it, but every time I run the installation process, I get the
following error code:

"stop: 0x0000007B"

What does it mean, and can it be repaired?

Hello,

Did you try deleting the Vista partition and creating a new partition when
you installed XP?

Note that this will delete all data on the Vista partition such as
documents, programs, photos,etc.

To interpret a Stop error more than just the Bug Check code is needed

If the laptop was sold with Vista pre-installed you will need Windows XP
drivers. Are these available from the manufacturer of the laptop?

Background information on Stop Error message
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795508.aspx

0x0000007B: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
Windows lost access to the system partition or boot volume during the
startup process. Typical causes: Installing incorrect device drivers
when installing or upgrading storage adapter hardware, or a virus.

Please stick to your Old Post.
We need to know the model number and the make of your Laptop to be able to
help.
This error indicate hardware problems or a driver not found/supported.

You receive a Stop 0x0000007B error after you move the Windows XP system
disk to another computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314082/

*** STOP: 0x0000007B

Note: don't delete the Vista Partition or you will end up with unusable
machine No XP (as it may the drivers for it not supported) nor Vista the main
OS for that Laptop.
Check the amnufactuer website for downgrading the machine to XP. If they say
you can do it then your machine support XP drivers and you need to
troubleshoot for Hardware drivers damaged/corrupt and for Viruses.
The question is: Why you trying to have XP beside Vista and does Vista
version 32 Bits or 64 Bits?
