Hi

Windows XP, all available updates, running on a Gateway
Solo 1450 notebook. Intel 830M Graphics Controller (and
an 82830M Controller(?)). Only unusual hardware is a
Kensington external RF mouse, that disables my serial
mouse and touchpad.

When I attempt to resize the desktop, using the
Properties window, I get the Blue Screen of Death and an
immmediate reboot when I click on the 'Settings' tab.
This occurs whether I go through the desktop Properties,
or via the Control Panel.

Any suggestions for solving my display size problem, or
letting me use my 'Settings' tab?

TIA,
Chuck

Got it:

"STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF9CBF33, 0xEE70CFDC,
0x00000000

iadlmdnt5.dll - Address BF9CBF33 base at BF9B7000,
DateStamp 3f845344"

I hope this means something to someone!

Thanks for the help so far!

The tweak didn't work, same problem. I also removed the
Logitech Desktop Messenger, and shut down the startup of
Adobe Gamma. Still no joy.

Message on Stop Screen:

"STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF9CBF33, 0xEE70CFDC,
0x00000000

iadlmdnt5.dll - Address BF9CBF33 base at BF9B7000,
DateStamp 3f845344"

I don't have a clue what that means, but there it is.

Thanks for the help so far!
