Browsing problems

My friend tells me:

My internet explorer is not browsing, in other words when I put in a
search
it fails to load the page. However if I put a url in it loads it
without any
problems. It may be connected with the installation of a Netgear
Wireless
router DG834GT which seemed to coincide with the problem.
OS = WXP pro with SvPk 2
Security Software = Zone Alarm
ISP = AOL 9.0 Broadband

The Router is apparently working fine.
All other browsers except those I use on the IE page (google) appear
to
work. Anything on the IE page displays Cannot Find Server:- ( I have
tried all
the suggestions on this page to try to rectify the problem I have
reset most of
the settings to default).

Can you help.?
