Browsing problem with error 1000-Please help

I am having problem with one of the NON-DC 2000 servers in my LAN. When ever
I try to logon to this server, I will get 2 errors both ID 1000. One is:
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects . A message that
describes the reason for this was previously logged by this policy engine.

Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO The file must be present at
the location <>. (). Group Policy processing aborted.

This errors are NOT repeated every 5 min. The other DCs are 2000 server
running Native mode.

My KIX logon script wont work on this machine and also I canot browse the
rest of the network or map a network drive for any network share on this
machine. But I can map any share on this machine from another machine. PINGS
and Remote desktop to this machine and from this machine are fine.

Any idea how to fix this issue.

What have you done to check it out? From the info in your post, it sounds
like it has no network connectivity. Can you ping other hosts on the
network? Can you ping a DNS server? Can you resolve names?
