Browsers will not show images

As the subject states, I am having a problem getting images to show in
my browsers. I say browsers since I have tried it in IE 6.0, Netscape
8.0 and Firefox 1.04 and 1.07 and 1.5.
Some of the images do show, but there are too many boxes with the red
x showing in them.
Some of the web sites I have tried are yahoo, msn, iwon and even eBay.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box "Show Pictures" is ticked.

Clear the IE cache from IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files and Delete offline
content.

taurarian,
Thank you for the help. What I ended up doing was doing a Google
search for the error I was getting when I tried to view the picture,
was /127.0.0.1:1044/bug.cgi.
Since it is pointing to my local host, I dropped the IP and just did a
search on the bug.cgi and found the following URL with the answer.
http://www.whmautopilot.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t6102.html
I forgot that Computer Associates uses Zone Alarm Pro as their
firewall.
Anyway, all is well now and I don't have those red x's.
thanks again.
