Browser Wont Open

I receive the following message when I try to open
IE: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs
to close. Sorry for the Inconvenience."

Details:

Appl Name: iexplore
Appl Ver: 6.0.2800.1106
Mod Name: ntdll.dll
Mod Ver: 5.1.2600.1106
Offset: 00001cc5

I had the same probelm. Got this remedy & it worked.
To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in
Internet Explorer:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser
extensions
(requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.
