Browser Window Does Not Go To Screen Top

Hello--

After playing the Star Wars trailer, this user's IE window will no longer
fill his whole monitor screen. It falls short of about an inch from the top.

Strange---if he hits F11, or full screen, it will fill the whole screen, but
as you know, you no longer have all of the tool bars. The user wants to be
able to show the tool bars, and have the wabe page take up the whole screen
viewable area.

We tried downloading the patches from update and rebooting, but it stays the
same.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi razor :)

Run regedit and remove these registry key values:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

Then reboot.

or..................

Window Display too small

and possibly

also.....

Webpage view too small - won't fill screen

Many pages are hard coded for an 800 pixel wide display and won't display
any wider. Have you tried View | Text Size?

Thank you. When the user came in this morning and logged on, the problem was
gone. Go figure.
