Browser will not close.....

When I am in a Yahoo games page in the browser, it will
not close when I click 'x' or right click the task bar
and click close. It is an applet, and it probably has
something to do with that. I am running Windows XP and
IE6. I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and End Task to close it. A
box appears and wants me to send an error report to
Microsoft. I have done this hundreds of times, but it
seems like it does not help. You'd think Microsoft would
recognize there is an issue and come up with a fix. What
can I do about this?

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
