Browser shuts down

When I am Internet Explorer it shuts down when I hit
certain keys. Example when I hit the delete key in yahoo
mail the browser shuts down. The same thing happens with
other programs when I hit Save. Not sure what is going
on. The when I go back in the action I choose was not
excuted.
