.
Open your Control Panel, click on Internet Options, Under
General Tab you will see Home Page. Enter the site of your
home page. click on apply and ok.

If you have different search engine tool bar like Google
go to options under the Google word, Click on Search tab,
click on Use Google as my default search engine in IE.

Once you have put back all your original settings (or how
you want it). Open Restore Browser in the Advanced Tools.
Look to see which is different under the Current settings
and the Restore settings columns. If there are two
different files listed you must change the Restore
settings column to match the current settings list. To do
this highlight the item you want to change and click the
box (you must highlight the item or it won't change. Next
look at the lower left hand side of the screen. click
on "Change restore setting to a new URL.... It will give
you a dialog box type the URL into that box and click OK.

Note: What I do is open to a full page, move the dialoge
box above the current setting I want to change and type
from there. First highlight what you want to remove and
then type they corrected site. Make sure you type it
exactly as it show on the current listings.
eg. If you want to change from http://www.msn.com to
http://www.google.com, highlight only the msn and type
google. It will save you key strokes and errors.

If you want to switch back to the msn default highlight
the item again, click on the change restored settings to a
new URL and default setting will come up just click on
okay.

Run your scan and watch if it says you browser has been
highjacked. If it does and you click on restore check the
browser settings again. It might have changed them back to
the default and you will have to reenter them again. But
at least you will know how to do it.

To make it easier on you, you can take a screen print of
the open Browser setting for future reference. To do this
open the browser settings page to full. Press the screen
print button. Go to start. Click on Run. Enter MSPaint.
click OK. when the program MSPaint opens hold down the
Ctrl key + V keys. You will now have a screen print of the
page. To save screen print click on file, save, name file
and save as a .jpeg extension, in any directry you want. I
just use My Pictures.

I hope this is what you are looking for. Regards Maxie

Once you have set these up and you run a scan. They scan
will say you browers has been highjacked
