Browser pages w/ graphics

I'm using Windows 98 and Internet Explorer 6.0. I've been
having problems viewing pictures when moving from link to
link. I'm constantly having to change the encoding
setting to Windows European (Windows) option under the
View menu in order to see pictures and graphics. Even
though I have the 'autoselect' option chosen. How do I
keep from seeing blank boxes with little 'x's in them?

It happen the same thing with me (Win 98 IE6). The
temporary solution is reintall Internet Explorer to it
previous version. But I want to stick with IE6, still
search for solution!!!
