Is there a way to effectively stop browser hijackers and
if one does 'change' how the IE browser looks and works,
is there an inexpensive (free) way to get it back to its
original working condition

Go to the "tools" menu. Click on "internet options".
Click on "advanced". Under "Browse" uncheck the box
the says "enable third party browser extensions". Then
reboot.

That will get rid of some of the changes but you probably
have to run Adaware and/or Spybot to really clean things
up.

go to mozilla.org and download firefox browser
and enjoy the security

Thanks for all the help given but unfortunately, its
still happening, even with Firefox installed (Screen shot
attached). It ONLY happens when I try to go to my
Hotmail account, no other time. I have a screen shot
available of what it looks like but don't know how to
include it here. If anyone wants to see it just let me
know here and a good address to send it to and I will.
I'm still searching for some answers. Again, thanks for
any assistance given.
