Browser Hijacker - Can't Reinstall IE

I've been attempting to eliminate a browser hijacker by
reinstalling IE as explained in this article "Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article - 318378" However, when I try to
reinstall IE, I get a message saying that IE6 Has failed
the "Windows Logo Test" and will not be installed. What
the hell?

I also have the same type problem with some incredifind website messing up my Internet explorer. I tried system restore and using ad aware and nothing worked. Then I go to reinstall the IE6 with the special pack 1 and it tells me that logo crap too. Why would a microsoft product not pass logo testing? Anyone know what the problem is?
