Browser closes

When I click on a link in my browser it opens the page but
closes the first window with no way to backspace. How can
I fix this?
 
I've been having the same problem. IE only seems to want
to open one page at once, when I try to open a new
browser window, the first window just disappears. This is
a complete pain in the rear seeing as how I normally have
7-8 IE windows up at the same time. It's only started
happening in the past few hours though.

Someone please help. It's driving me crazy
