Browser Acting Up

Since I downloaded the latest version of ZoneAlarm, IE6 is acting up. After
getting online, the browser will come up on screen, then vanish. I can get
on with Firefox, Outlook Express, etc., but not IE. Tried downloading new
copy of IE6, but says I have latest on my machine. Has never been without
firewall, and scans with Ad-Aware, Spysweeper and Spybot S&D show no
problems. Question is - how do I get Internet Explorer to stay on screen?

First off, try uninstall ZoneAlarm and see if that fixes it. If it
does, then try searching their support page or contacting their support
to see if there's any fixes available. Also, you could try downloading
a different firewall, like Kerio or Sygate Personal Firewall. (Both are
free)

Use another.

Disabling ZoneAlarm made no difference. Also, browser will not stay up even
off-line. Most confusing, System Restore didn't work either - just got a
Cannot Restore message.

Jim, Sygate was bought out by Symantec who killed the personal fire wall
as of 11/30/05.
