Browser 6.0 Home Page - Irregular

Hi IE Experts.

Since March 3rd this year I am getting a very irregular
Home Page Set up and redirection.

Even if I set it to cnn.com it always comes back to the
above URL... THis seems to be a VIRUS..

Could you help.

not virus. lets explore the world of browser hijackers and
spyware. go to safer-networking.org and download
spybot,use on easy mode and update, scan for problems and
then should be safe to delete the bad stuff it shows. also
keeps backups in case any spyware dependent program you
have will not work. also use immunize and block bad pages
and don't click on popups that want to set your clock or
otherwise. have a happy day.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

I ran the spybot program and it still did not get rid of
the problem.

Any other ideas

Hi,
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Post back with the URL where you posted if you want help with your log.
