Home Page Problem with IE 6.0

I am using a Dell Inspiron 5100 notebook, Windows XP (SP2) and use IE 6.0
with SP2 update. I use Mozilla Firefox 5.0 as my default browser but
periodically must use IE to access sites that are not accessible by Mozilla.

Using IE, I want to use a particular home page, but when I try to set it as
the home page I get the error message: "This operation has been cancelled due
to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system
adminstrator". I used McAfee virus scanner and machine is clear of any
viruses or spyware. The page that displays is "http://dellnet.msn.com/".

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks.

I dislike McAfee at the best of times, but have to say its inappropriate
this time anyway.

You're using a Dell notebook. Your home page is locked to a Dell page. You
do not have a virus. Dell did the damage this time, but its easy enough to
fix. Check out the advice at the URL below:
