Can I select the "browed by an individual" Show Type and have the
presentation advance to the next animation and/or slide without an action
button or hyperlink?

While clicking on the slide itself doesn't work, you can use the space
bar, arrow keys, or scroll bars to advance the animation and/or slide.

By mouse click or automatically?
If it's by mouse click, what you can do is to go into Slide Master (View >
Master > Slide Master), add a rectangle that covers the entire slide. Bring
up the format autoshape dialog box, set the fill color to 99% transparent.
Then, right click on the rectangle, click action setting. Have it hyperlink
to the next slide.

Close Master View once you are done.

Or. simply follow what David has said (using the keyboard).

I want to do it by mouse click, but I think I'm stuck with the keyboard
option. My presentation has custom animation on the screen that is set to
advance on click, but it also has hyperlink buttons that redirect the user to
other screens, depending on the options they select. Thanks for the
suggestion.
