Browse list problem with PPTP on 2003

I hope someone can help with a curious problem. It's causing a bit of
hassle as antivirus updates, for example, cannot be pushed to client PCs.

We have Server 2003 Standard that acts as 'PDC'. It is also configured for
RRAS with PPTP connections. The firewall (a SonicWall) has punchthroughs
for PPTP.

The VPN is working very well, except for one wee thing.

Whenever a VPN client is connected, all servers (except for the RRAS/PDC
server) can only browse to the VPN clients - all other local PCs and servers
are missing from the list. When the VPN clients disconnect, the local
machines are restored.

We can access shares using UNC paths, but not by browsing.

What have we missed in the config?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Chris

it is not recommended to install VPN on DC. If you do, you need to modify some settings. this page may help,

Thanks, Bob - we'll shift RRAS to another server that is not the DC.
