Was anyone succesfull getting the unit to send and receive emails ?

If you, did you experience any issue ?

I have set up my new MFC-8840DN to receive and send email. I am pretty
confident the POP3/SMTP parameter I have entered are correct (I have
other device that use the same mail server). When I scan to email, the
machine is unable to send (Sending error). The printer is also unable
to download the .prn emails from my server.

What software (email browser) are you using?
Your query above could be read to suggest you
are trying to use the printer with no software.

Yes, you are correct, I am not using any software. The MFC-8840DN is a
network connected printer/fax/scanner/copier. It is supposed to be able
to scanner a document and email it on its own, It should also be able
to check a POP3 mailbox for .prn files and print them all on its own
(of course you need a computer in the first place to print to an email
attacged print file).
Unfortunatly these are the functions that I cannot get to work.
Printing and scannig from a PC over the network is no problem though.
