Brother cartridges

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the LC800BK and the
LC31BK, I think they may be the same cartridge but for different markets, my
Brother MFC 3420C seems to use either depending on which supplier I look at

LC800BK seems to be the model number of the cart for Europe.
