I have a main computer downstairs, using a wireless
broadband, am trying to connect using a 6 out hub (or
whatever its called), to other computers in house, (only
3 being used), but will not connect, yet the wireless one
downstiars says its connected ok? Have configured under
TCP/IP and made sure that network adapter obtains a
network address, as well as obtains the DNS server
information automatically.
Can anyone help?

How to fix wireless connection issues

1. Make sure all wireless devices are using the same mode, infrastructure in
the most cases.
2. Make sure all wireless devices have the same SSID.
3. Make sure all wireless devices have the same WEP encryption settings if
you have enabled them.
4. Make sure you have added the wireless MAC into MAC Address Control if you
enable it.
5. Use ipconfig and ping to test the connection. All wireless devices must
be in the same IP range.

Thanks for answering. Sorry, not sure if I understand
your answer, as the only wireless device is in the
main 'server' computer downstairs, the others I am trying
to connect with this, are wired to a hub, but they
cannot seem to get online or use the printer downstairs.
Can you please explain in more simpler terms? Also can
you tell me what Ping is, or how do I ping to test
something? Thanks.
