Broadband in Task Bar

My Eircom Broadband Icon appears only 50% of time on my Task Bar. Why?.

I think icons in the system area default to "Hide when inactive". To see
if this is the case, right click on the task bar, Properties,
Customize..., and see what's set for the "Behaviour" of your icon.
