briefcase question

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to use the briefcase but I
can't find any instructions that help. I need to go back
and forth from my desktop to my USB drive to my laptop.
I've followed all the instructions I've been given or
have been able to find but nothing works.

I was referred to the following article in response to a
similar question I asked earlier but it, the article,
didn't help:

Can anybody give me some help?
