Bride Network Problems

I have an XP machine with 2 network connections, I also have a computer
which access's the internet though one of the networking connections.

My first machines connects to internet fine no problems, the comptuer that
access the internet though my bridge connects to router, gets IP, ISP DNS
address, i can even ping a DNS address and transfer files over the network
but it cant access web pages. I can ping google.com and its fine, just wont
displays web pages.

Actally it did work, then I did windows update on this machine, the machine
with the bridge (i had to format) and after i re-booted it stoped working.

Anyone know why it would do this, or a solution

Many thanks
Chris

Why not use ICS rather than bridge? That would be easier to setup.

Just right click the 'Internet' card from CPanel/Network and select
properties, then properties then advanced then "Allow other computers to
connect to the internet ....." that will give your second network card an ip
of 192.168.0.1 and setup a mini dhcp server for it, your other machine should
then be set to get ip automatically then repair the network on it.

You should be then ready to go.
