What, exactly, are you trying to do with the BREAK key?
I could be wrong, but I believe that key is a holdover
from old DOS days. Not sure it has any real function in
WINDOWS, as I recall.
Dennis is right, BREAK might not be used like it used to be and in the way
that you expect. One thing that you can check to see if it is functioning
correctly is to try a [WINDOWS KEY]-BREAK combination. If your BREAK key is
functioning, this keystroke combination should bring up the "My Computer"
Property Page or "System Properties".
